Kenwood

The Property

Kenwood House, Hampstead Lane, Hampstead, London NW3 7JR

Kenwood House and Estate was left to the nation by Edward Cecil Guinness, first Earl of Iveagh in 1927. Situated on the northern edge of Hampstead Heath, Kenwood has provided an idyllic retreat from inner city life for many generations of Londoners.

The House is a fine example of an 18th century stately home, and contains many masterpieces by world-renowned painters.

For more historical and visitor information on Kenwood, including opening hours, please click here or call 0870 333 1181.

Directions

There is very little public parking available at Kenwood on concert days. The surrounding streets are already heavily parked by local residents, and police actively enforce parking regulations on concert nights. We strongly advise that you do not drive to the concert. It is easy to get to Kenwood by public transport.

Bus and Tube

It’s easy to get to Kenwood using public transport. Take the Northern Line to Archway or Golders Green. 210 Bus stops outside Kenwood (7 minutes walk to the concert arena), and runs between Golders Green and Archway tube stations. 214 Bus from Kings Cross and the 271 Bus from Liverpool Street Station stop at Highgate Village. You can either walk to Kenwood from Highgate Village (20 minutes) or change at Highgate to the 210, which stops right outside Kenwood (7 minutes walk to the concert arena). In addition, special free shuttle services to the concerts serve East Finchley tube and Golders Green tube between 4pm and 8pm, returning from Kenwood after the concerts until 11pm. The Kenwood Concerts will be signposted from local tube stations.

Information For Cyclists

Although cycling is not allowed within the Kenwood estate, plentiful cycle parking is available. Any member of the concert staff will be happy to direct you to an appropriate place to leave your bicycle.

Parking

There is no on-site parking facility for the general public, other than a strictly limited number of spaces for disabled people.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be available at Kenwood. Please note that barbecues are not permitted for safety reasons. Concertgoers are welcome to bring their own food, drink, and cutlery; alcohol in glass bottles is also permitted.

Admission Times

The concert auditorium will be open from 5.30pm. Please arrive early, take time to enjoy the grounds and picnic beforehand.

The Weather

Occasionally, inclement weather can disrupt an open-air event. Any decision to cancel a concert will be taken at the advertised start time. No refunds will be made if a concert starts but is later abandoned.

Disabled Visitors

We offer one carer’s ticket for free with each ticket purchased by a disabled concertgoer. Please call See Tickets on 0844 412 2706 to redeem this offer. We provide preferential parking, seating areas, toilet facilities and our stewards will be pleased to give you help on the night. The seating and parking areas are limited, so please arrive early.

Dogs

Dogs are not permitted at the concerts, (with the exception of guide dogs – please do take care on the firework evening).

Furniture

Please note that no outdoor furniture is permitted to be brought on site at Kenwood (including chairs and tables).

Concert Programme

Please note that artists and programmes may change at short notice due to illness or unavoidable circumstances. All Kenwood concerts are subject to planning permission.

Photography

Please note that in purchasing a ticket to the concerts and enjoying your time at the venue, you are consenting in principle to photographs of you being used for future marketing material.
